On 24 March, the TAFISA Knowledge Exchange Commission (KEC) held its latest meeting, bringing together members to share updates and ongoing activities.
Key highlights included the relaunch of the TAFISA Knowledge Corner on the TAFISA website, now available in an updated format. The Knowledge Corner serves as a central hub for sharing resources, playing an important role in strengthening knowledge exchange across research, policy, and practice. New resources are planned to be published every three months with the help of the knowledge corner subgroup, which will further support access to relevant insights for the Sport for All community.
The first KEC webinar, co-hosted with ISPAH, was a key success and further webinar opportunities have been investigated during the meeting.
The KEC subgroups provided updates on their current work. A subgroup has been active on supporting the integration of research into the next TAFISA World Congress in Prag, including a dedicated poster session. The Monitoring & Evaluation group is developing a guidebook for member organisations, while the Policy subgroup is advancing research on policies enabling medical providers to prescribe physical activity. The Sustainability subgroup is working on developing advocacy and events to foster engagement on climate change.
The meeting also featured research updates from KEC members, where at this meeting, an update on the Global Active City Research Programme, which is currently midway through its first phase has been shared.
Knowledge exchange remains central to TAFISA's mission to make sport and physical activity more accessible, inclusive, and impactful worldwide. Through the KEC, TAFISA continues to bring together experts to share insights, strengthen connections, and drive the sector forward.
